MICROSOFT OFFICE 365: WHICH ENTERPRISE LEVEL IS RIGHT FOR YOUR BUSINESS-Image

The coronavirus pandemic has seen a lot of change in how we conduct business and these changes have led to many businesses now conducting a hybrid way of working. This hybrid change to our work environment has meant that we are now using collaboration tools successfully when we work remotely as well as when we are together.

The workplace changes have seen businesses really access what technology they are using to empower their employees to work at their smartest wherever they are. This assessment has naturally left many to question which Office 365 version is right for them

With Microsoft Office 365 having two versions of Enterprise (both E3 and E5) that are considered the best for employees who work on the go and who are mobile, more businesses are inquiring into their features to empower their hybrid working workforce. Here is a helpful chart that demonstrates each license's main benefits.

Both versions boast to enable each user to get a full license that allows them to install applications on up to 5 desktops, 5 tablets and 5 smartphones. Meaning that team members working from home won't have to depend on having a great, secure internet connection 24/7 - helping employees stay productive on whatever device they are using wherever they may be.

In my opinion, the main addition to the E5 license is the fully loaded security feature and some analytic tools and voice capabilities. You get everything included in E3 along with a few more benefits:

  • Advanced Security & Information Protection: The E5 license protects your data from threats like phishing and zero-day malware protecting the user from threats in attachments and links.
  • Analytics Tools: E5 is the only Enterprise plan that offers analytics tools such as MyAnalytics and PowerBI Pro for data analysis and visualisation.

Other additions include Advance eDiscovery, access controls and control encryption key, Advanced Threat Protection, Threat Intelligence for proactive cybersecurity and actionable insight, O365 Cloud App Security, PTSN conferencing capabilities, Advanced-Data Governance and Customer Lockbox.
