With snap lockdowns and sudden border closures happening due to Covid-19 we are currently living in a time where travelling is not as easy and carefree as it use to be.

Due to this, many businesses within the hospitality and tourism industry have had to think out of the box on how to keep business going. Where once you may have visited a venue, venues have had to think of ways to bring products and services straight to our screens and to our homes to help keep the industry thriving and profitable.

For one winery in Italy, Microsoft Teams has provided a solution in response to the unexpected global pandemic. We have recently read that when travel became impossible and change first began, The Ciacci Winery decided to be proactive and turn to Microsoft Teams to keep their family ran business thriving. This team moved quickly by replacing their in-person gatherings with virtual wine tastings using Teams to do so. The company collaborated with partners and suppliers creating a balance between the traditional side of the wine industry and meeting wine with technology to bring a service straight to homes.
